Cowbells and Tambourines

I went to a sweeet show this evening at the Park Theatre. My cousin's band played first and they're literally amazing; shout out to his band: Effect & Cause!! Unfortunately I was unable to make their set, but I know they can rock out and my friends who witnessed their face melting riffs were definitely impressed. The headliner however belonged to The Ripperz which was a delightful surprise of a band to me. Might I add that they have such a strong friend fan-base because all of them were standing and swaying singing along to the melodious verses (quite loudly infact). It was awesome.
Now this brings me to a life lesson for all drummers, people who tap their feet to the beat, and those who love or care for drumming or the drummer. The Ripperz drummer happened to have a cowbell fastened to his kit and a tambourine at his side. These two musical items happen to be essential. Even though I do not own a cowbell or a tambourine at this present moment does not make me a bad drummer (just like any other who is in my same sitch [situation]). However, these two essential music makers automatically deem you amazing. Therefore I will now go out and add these necessities to my ensemble. With 'em there is so much flavour you can add to your music!!! It's actually unbelievable and I witnessed this tonight. So remember, the cowbell and the tambourine addition boosts your arsenal of beats as well as your status of awesomeness. Rock on.
