Fall-tering

I know... I apologized in early summer for being absent, but I feel like I need to ask for forgiveness and state my disappointment once again. Where has my passion for blogging disappeared to? Not sure at the moment... Maybe it was the fact that I was preoccupied with work, friends, soccer, and travels all summer, leaving the only downtime for relaxing (meaning mostly lounging around at home). Maybe it's the fact that Twitter has taken over as my instantaneous micro-blogging outlet. No matter, it is fall again and that means university, which also means procrastination. I will definitely try to get blogging more this fall!

Fail.

I had that written up as a draft on October 4th. OCTOBER FOURTH. Over a month and a half ago. Anyways, I will try and break this frustrating spell with an overdue Life Lesson for a certain NHL netminder that goes by the name of Ilya Bryzgalov...

Watch what you say when a whole city is listening.

 Then, back in spring as goalie for the Phoenix Coyotes, Bryzgalov said this:

"You don't want to go to Winnipeg, right? Not many people live there, not many Russian people there. Plus it's cold. There's no excitement except the hockey. No park, no entertaining for the families, for the kids. It's going to be tough life for your family. I've been there for just once, maybe twice, when I play in minors. It was really cold. I used the tunnels between the buildings to get to the arena. Because it was minus 40-something. Real cold."

Tisk, tisk, Ilya. You should know better. All 15,004 fans taunted the man as he sat on the bench watching the game, while Bobrovsky played instead of him. Our pleasure of booing him was not fully withheld however. As the Jets continued to punish the Flyers and put the puck into the back of the net, chants of "WE WANT ILYA!" flooded the arena. During one of the final TV timeouts our wish was cheekily granted. A courteous camera man was kind enough to plant a solo shot of Bryzgalov on the bench, and it beamed on the jumbo screen. All of a sudden the boo decibel level quadrupled. Pronger's boos were considered juvenile compared to this one huge, solid drone. Priceless. As Bryzgalov looked up to his horror, payback was dealt... and it felt good.

WNL

I've once again made CTV News while larviciding for mosquitoes. They even managed to catch me smirk/laugh at the fact that they were filming me for the second time in about a month. The funny thing is, they told us that they wanted to film us spraying a field but then only arrived when we finished the listing. So we were walking back and that's the shot that I was in. Another guy that they supposedly filmed for so long didn't even make the cut (and he would not stop talking about all the attention he was getting)! Funny stuff.

This time I didn't need the search expertise of Jill to find the video on their website (I did actually ask her for her help right before I found it though)! Take a look at the video here: CTV News

Anyways, besides being the "poster boy" of Insect Control (that's a joke), I have settled into the job pretty easily (anyone would). I'll share one funny story with y'all (even though there are plenty every day that just can't be put on here)...

Last week, we were at our last listing of the day before heading into the yard. It was an off-road property listing and amongst walking down the drive-way I mentioned to my driver that we may actually finish without throwing on a backpack of chemical! Almost everything has been "WNL" in the last week or so (meaning Water No Larvae), so we haven't had to use the packs. I jinxed it. We walked to the yard and happened to scare the home owner who was weed whacking. She was so thankful that we had come and she couldn't wait to show us all the water on the property (just great... the listing said only the tree/bush area, but she had other ideas). When she spoke I knew she had to be Latvian, based on my friend's accent (shout-out to my only Latvian friend, Agnese). She went on saying how they had dumped engine oil into their ditches already. I have never heard of that! She even mentioned how Javex worked like a charm and killed the larvae instantly. I laughed and said it probably kills everything else too! She would do anything to get rid of those pests. She also believed that mosquitoes can hatch in mud (with the Internet as her source). Hilarious! I assured her it wasn't true (while chuckling). After she was done, we put on the packs and let loose. With her questioning our overall spray job, I just wanted to tell her we weren't there to exterminate them (which would be impossible), we were there to control them!

So yeah, we run into a lot of interesting people on this job. I love it.

p.s. I bet you could guess where I wrote this post...

The New Era Commercials

I am literally tearing up right now as I watch these New Era baseball commercials! John Krasinski (The Office) and Alec Baldwin (30 Rock) make the best competitive duo! Take a look at the New Era site for more details. So good. Check out the "One-Hitter" one after this. Even more hilarious!

Ahhh, I just posted all of them because it's worth it!

Made The News

As mentioned on my previous post, I was filmed sitting on the back of a truck spraying larvicide into a ditch by multiple news crews. However, I did not pvr any of these channels to see how good of a job I had done. Thanks to my friend Jill, who hunted online for it (not too long, I hope), you can see the footage HERE! You'll see my "old veteran pro" form at about the 1:42 mark in the video. Check it out!

Thanks once again Jill! Your research has earned you a well-deserved shout-out.
Check out her sweet blog: HERE IT IS.

Love Him or Hate Him

"Love him or hate him, he is a huge part of Survivor history." - Jeff Probst
(host and executive producer of Survivor)

True that! It was a massive shock to see Russell Hantz voted off and eventually beaten on Redemption Island throughout the last two episodes. Once he was voted off I knew that's where I thought he would dominate. Using his one-on-one, manipulative skill to become King of the island; coming back to inevitably haunt those that excommunicated him. Russell shook up the game (especially in his first two appearances), giving it an edge that it has never had. Now that he's gone, it won't be the same. It didn't help that the other players knew how he played the game (i.e. lying, stealing, back-stabbing, or basically anything villainous you can think of), so he was targeted right from the get go... it's the only fault of the season. On the other hand, Boston Rob seems to have his tribe under his thumb! We'll see if he can keep up his entertaining antics to make up for Russell's absence... but then again, there is this quirky "formal federal agent" named Phillip that can cause a ruckus as well. I have a feeling that the best is yet to come!

Yes, I have become a Survivor nerd and have been hooked the last few seasons. It just captivates me, seeing these "somewhat regular people" stretched to their limits physically, mentally, and socially! Plus I admire the effort it takes from hundreds of crew members behind the scenes to make a production like this flow. Now with youtube, blogs, and twitter, everything is essentially accessible; so the mere fact that I feel like Jeff Probst is talking directly to me via social networking... makes it all personal. There is no iron clad curtain separating a monstrous production like Survivor from the fans anymore. It's great and makes for a show-fan relationship like we've never seen before.

If you care enough for Survivor (like me) and would watch a 15 minute, Jeff Probst conducted interview with Russell, then check this out. It's amazing how a game (even though it's a massive publicity act with a potential million dollar prize) can consume a person and become their passion... Oh and I love the informality of this interview:

Conaw

First of all, I am back from my weekend long canoe trip, alive and well! It was a blast; hopefully I'll tell you more about it on here soon. I took a couple vids of our rock obstacle voyage getting to the launch point and put them up on my Twitter. So if you don't read or care about my tweets, you're missin' out on really, really interesting stuff (they are to me at least...)! Okay, if you don't want the hassle of leaving my blog, I'll just post the vids later when I talk more about the canoe trip, alright?! Geezaloo (as Glen would say)!

Secondly, BIG NEWS! I am officially registered at Prov for one more term! Muahahaha, I cannot wait to play soccer again with the boys! Gonna be GOOD. Also, we're gonna be lookin' sleek this season because of these two words: New Kits! Yep, I told you we're gonna look good; you didn't believe me, but now you know (Brule's Rules... best compilation video EVER)! Anyways, training camp is this weekend and I sure hope I can keep up with the lads who have been training all summer... Meh, I'll get into tip top shape sooner or later!

Thirdly and finally (getting to the title of this post...), Conan O'Brien has announced the name of his new show! It's going to air on TBS (which I don't think anyone has anymore... but whatevs, I'll watch it online) November 8th and I can't wait! I love this tweet of his: "I announced the name of my show today right here: http://bit.ly/cc3jhU (Spoiler alert: The words "Tonight" and "Show" aren't in it.)" Here is the announcement:

p.s. I'm editing part 2 of A Toon Town Wedding... hopefully I can get it up tomorrow before I head out to Prov for training camp!

Steve & Paul's One Hour Special

Well, I don't know if you heard about it, but a couple weeks ago there was a certain NBA SUPER STAR who announced which team he chose to sign with for the next season... Yes, LeBron James had an internationally televised, one hour special interview titled The Decision just for himself so that he could say one sentence. It took ONE HOUR to say ONE THING! Here is Steve Carell and Paul Rudd's spoof on the pointless special during the ESPY's, SO FUNNY! Can't wait to see their new movie: Dinner for Schmucks!

Et cetera, Et cetera

I've had some free time lately, but it is unfortunate because I have not touched my Olympic vlog footage at all! This needs to change right away, and it will (I'll begin editing tomorrow and also release a trailer showing a snippet of my experience... hopefully)!

In other news, my entire body is really stiff right now. Yesterday, I managed to head to Prov after school to train and play futsal with the soccer team and then head back into the city to play floor hockey! So that was a pretty crazy/busy night. I am extremely exhausted and now I fully know that I am extremely out of shape. Speaking of busy, I was talking to Reims today, and she mentioned that I was a pretty busy guy and I guess it's kind of true, at least only for this week! Actually, today I had nothing up and I took full advantage of it, relaxing all evening (I will get to tonight's content later on in this long post). However, the rest of my week will not be as chill. Here's a lineup of what's upcoming in my "mad life" (Reims' words):

I'm very excited for what tomorrow night will bring. My dad and I will actually be recording some music together (ABOUT TIME)! He wrote a song about the Red River called: "Red River Rising", and now he wants to record it with the help of his producer friend and I! This will technically be my first time recording in a legit studio, so I'm totally pumped (at Bible school, out in Germany, we had this homemade one that consisted of upright tables and a lot of blankets... good times).

On Thursday, my evening begins with the Survivor watching crew. Yes, I have caved in and have fallen into the trap of the show Survivor! It's the 20th season and I am only getting into it now... unreal! It has been quite epic though, and I am loving every minute of it. Later that night I will also finally see the much anticipated: Shutter Island! I hear it just blows your mind and makes you search for out-of-reach answers; I can't wait to have my brain rattled. Plus I'm going with some of my blogger peeps, so I know it'll be a party, party (Saint better be there... I just quoted his song)!

Friday, is Youth night for my Church (The Meeting Place)! We'll be heading to my beloved high school of MBCI to attend a fundraiser to support an orphanage in Kenya named The Nest. There is a $20 entrance fee per person and all the proceeds will go towards the orphanage. If 100 people come out, that will be enough money to run the orphanage for 3 months! That's pretty awesome, so I hope 200+ show up and support a great cause. Log in to facebook and check out the event (<--- Check it out!). They are also going to have a battle of the bands happening later on too, so hopefully the local talent rocks the boat.

Saturday is my man Malech's BDAY BASH! Yes, all day I hope to be celebrating with this beloved man. Let's party, party!

Sunday, I have another concert to attend for my awesome music class (The Well Tempered Concert-Goer). It'll be featuring some Native Throat Singers. When I hear that, I am immediately intrigued... should be good!
~~~
As for tonight's content: I drummed some drums, strummed some guitar (I learned a Hey Ocean! song the other day!), and played some FIFA 10 (a soccer video game) while listening to some chill tunes. I know this next portion may be somewhat or even entirely nerdy (nerdiness seems to be a theme for my blogging crew tonight...) but I'll post it anyway! As for FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association... I was wondering the same thing. Now we know it is actually a French acronym), I scored an UNBELIEVABLE goal and uploaded it online/entered it into the FIFA 10 Goal of the Week contest (laugh at me, I know you want to). The winner gets a pair of Adidas' newest cleats!! Anyways, here it is; I call it the High Flying Spanish Heel... Check it out!
Olympic Blast
I have returned to Winterpeg from Van City, sadly. The time out there was incredible! I can truly say that it was one of the most epic atmospheres I have ever been a part of. A sea of people cover the downtown Vancouver area each and every night of the week; it's UNREAL! Friday night was just nuts. We managed to push our way to the front of a Hey Ocean! and Said the Whale FREE concert in Robson Square (the cool looking, skating dome place they always show on TV)! The energy was off the scale! I saw the most simultaneous crowd-surfing ever, and the venue was a street square! It was just packed. I documented it pretty well I have to say!! I can't wait to get started on editing all of the footage I got! I can't even explain the time I had out west with words! Hopefully you can get some sense of how phenomenal it was with some visuals. Plus, I have so many stories to tell!!! I don't know where to start, I need to get organized... so until then, don't go away!
p.s. I'm watching Ski Cross right now!! My new favourite Olympic sport, for sure! The massive air, the catastrophic crashes... it's the most exciting thing on television. In Kelowna they had a Ski Cross run that I tried and I loved it! I had a massive adrenaline rush; so good.
My Man Cabbie
Wow, Cabral Richards really deserves to be given the title: One of the funniest vloggers slash interviewers ever! I laugh super hard every time I watch his work! Here is a segment he did with Kobe Bryant for his ongoing interview series with the legendary b-ball player. Check it out! p.s. His Twitter is hilarious as well...
The Buried Life
I've never allowed myself to watch a TV Series on MTV... I don't even have MTV. However, The Buried Life is one exception. Today my sister came to me and proposed that I should watch this one show. It's about four close friends from Victoria, B.C. who make a list of all the things they want to accomplish before they die! They also help others in doing so and make their ambitions/dreams possible (in the first episode they busk to raise money in order to get a computer for a grade 5 class).
They hit the road in a big ol' purple bus with a 100 things-to-do list and cross 'em off each time they achieve their goal! It's only a couple episodes into the first season. You should definitely check it out. The first episode is about attending a Playboy Mansion party! SO funny! Follow this link:
30 Rock: Secret Santa
I know I said I was going to be taking a break from blogging, but I couldn't help myself!! I've finished one exam and it went decently well! So I decided to take a break from studying for tomorrow's exam and watch an episode of 30 Rock (an amazing/hilarious show)! I thought I'd post the link so that you can laugh as hard as I did. One of the best so far this season for sure! Enjoy: 30 Rock: Secret Santa
The Wiserhood
Right now I am supposed to be writing a media analysis on a sample of communication from traditional mass media to depict gender in some theoretical interesting way. I have decided to use a certain Molson Canadian commercial because of the various appealing stereotypical aspects it displays... blah blah, so on and so forth. However, I just wanted to give a shout out to this particular commercial that I considered using and it definitely has become one of my favourites. It's the Gerry Dee Wiser's ad. First of all he's a funny guy and secondly he's in an awesome whiskey ad! What more could you ask for? Check it out:
Man Shower
Last night a few of us went out to Portage La Prairie to visit a good friend named Thomas. His fiancee Laura had come out early to visit him for his birthday and also put on a surprise "man shower" for him and his friends in the area. We were running late picking up some gifts so we didn't see Thom get surprised but we made up for it because we wrote a loving poem mentioning some of the good times we had had with the man. Actually, we were the ones that got surprised because when we arrived at the door Thom jumped out and silly string'd us pretty good (apparently it stains).
I guess it wasn't fully a man shower because Laura and Thom's Mom were there, but it was all good 'cause they made most of the delicious food (Thank you! Props to Thom's dad for cooking the amazing steaks too). Before the main course however, there were appetizers which consisted solely of wine & cheese courtesy of yours truly. That combo is just a beautiful match. Love it.
After the main course of the manly steak, cooked potatoes, hot dog weiners, and... salad... we settled down to a classic game of Texas Hold'em poker. Seven was widdled down to two and the two who remained were Skate Shop Steve and myself. Steve had been takin' people out left, right, and centre but I continued to stand in his way. It all came down to one particular bluff of Steve's (TSN's Turning Point if you will) and I stuck with him to the end; resulting in a two pair for me... and nothing for Steve. I took a strangle hold of the chip count. I could feel it, I just had to buy him out down the stretch. I kept my cool and calmly lured him into my trap. He had no choice but to be reeled in and victory was MINE! I'm only mentioning this poker game because I believe it is the only one I've ever won. Too bad it was just for fun... DANG IT! Whatevs [whatever], the brownie and ice cream during the game was pretty much a prize for winning anyways (though everybody got brownies and ice cream...).
On the way home we grabbed a Tim Horton's coffee and listened to Dane Cook's Retaliation set. It never gets old! What a good night.
Side note: I found out that Thom's dog Odie has quite the bark and quite the bite to go along with it. I was semi-attacking Archibald [Andrew] when Odie ran up behind us barking. He jumped and bit me right in the buttocks. Yes, my left cheek was pinched by Odie's canine teeth. Ouch! I could not believe it. That dog gave me quite the tude[attitude]!
Lank Threat
Could it be that I have found a lankier man than myself?! He's about 6'6". I don't know his first name but I'm on a mission to find out so that we can be friends. He lives at the house we are painting at right now which is pretty huge! Every day and all day he sits at his computer either playing World of Warcraft or watching How I Met Your Mother. Man, what a life! I've never played WOW [World of Warcraft] but I know that How I Met Your Mother is an excellent show (my co-worker Ryan Malech would agree). Don't think of me as a creep (I like to pretend I'm a private investigator), but when I was up on the roof, scraping what I thought was his room's outside window frame, my eyes came across a UMSU's Copying Centre card (Don't worry it was right on the window sill, so I wasn't scanning the room, I just caught it in my periphs [peripherals]). This means he goes to the UofM; where I go as well! I love doing detective work. I need to scout this guy to make sure he's Team Lank worthy. His appearance may give him an automatic membership but I need to know how this guy acts and if he's an efficient and effective lank. I will get more answers next week. I must befriend this gentleman and teach him my wise ways.
How 'Bout Them Nimbostratuses?
Wednesday was one of the hottest days of summer yet here in Winnipeg. No clouds in the sky and the sun was laughing in my face as I painted profusely. I was not looking forward to my soccer [football] game that night...
I strolled up once again to the blumberg fields just outside Winnipeg to see a massive cloud formation evolving from the west. Could it be that I would be playing in severe storm weather conditions for a second game in a row? Unbelievable. I was discouraged. The referee called captains and during this moment the wind began to pick up. In the distance a wall of dust was making its way to our field. It hit us hard; I would say it was almost at tornado caliber. Our whole team took cover behind one of our player's Jimmy (jeepish GMC vehicle). Will our random weather never end?! We ended up playing the game in the extreme winds and rain. Thankfully it cleared up in the last 5 mins. Fortunately the newly established rainbow dominated the sky as we scored the game winner in the last 3 mins and beat those Central Americans (the team we lost to in the CBC Soccer Day in Canada Cup)(Not a racial slur! They all were Central Americans)!
Over the past week and a bit I have become fascinated with cloud patterns. I've never looked at the sky so much but I guess that is because I'm painting outside all day. I'm tellin' you, our clouds have looked messed up lately (I'd say apocalyptic almost, if I knew what that looked like). My co-worker (Ryan Malech) and I have recently taken sudden breaks to look up and admire the gorgeous patterns of Stratocumulus, Nimbostratus, and Cumulonimbus clouds (I'm legit [legitimate], I looked 'em up)! Though we have been noticing a strange type of cloud pattern. Look up Jane Wiggins' strange cloud picture on Google. Anyways, I'm no expert but I like to think I am. Therefore I love to give predictions on the weather these days, I love acting smart (Well in a professional degree kind of way). Hmm Manny the Meteorologist?
p.s. Got a another soccer [football] game tonight. Looks like it'll rain again! Ridic [ridiculous].
Rondo vs. Bolt
My last few posts have been frightfully long (yes I did just say frightfully). I'll try to keep it shorter and just as sweet for the comfort and pleasure of my viewers.
So I've debated a few times about those G Gatorade commercials. The soulja boy like dancer is either Rajon Rondo from the Boston Celtics or the Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt. From a glance it looks like Rajon to me! Although I hear Bolt does that dance every time he races; so it looks like I'll have to look it up.
... Just did, I guess I'm wrong... DANG YO. I hate it when I am wrong. I should be in that commercial, my last name starts with G, I'm an athlete, therefore I'm the perfect candidate. What's G? The seventh letter of the alphabet (I totally had to do the finger count)! Stupid Gatorade.
p.s. I was lookin' at Volkswagens yesterday at the dealership and when I peered into the show room I took a double take to find the soccer [football] striker my team played against in the CBC Soccer Day in Canada tourney [tournament] final. He ended up getting MVP [Most Valuable Player] (You should know that) and he was a fast little bugger too. Anyways, he was vacuuming the dealership! Random eh? It's strange how you can run into anybody in a big city.
Exhaustion
Life Lesson: A power nap is always a good thing.
It's actually a fact that a power nap should be between 10-15 mins [minutes] (I'm pretty sure most people know what mins is. I mean it must be the first abbreve ever!). This is because your body starts to shut down after this amount of time and you would've been better off if you didn't take your "power nap". 'Cause then you wake up more tired instead of being rejuved [rejuvenated].
The last 5 days, including today, have been pretty hectic. I believe I've had no free time due to the activities I have partaken in! It all starts Thursday night with my soccer [football] game out at the windy Winnipeg blumberg fields. Horrible game. We should have destroyed the other team. I believe we had about 90% possession the entire game and failed to score. That drives me nuts. After that I went to The Albert (sweet pub) downtown to see one of my new favourite local bands: The Ripperz. Excellent show. Now keep in mind I have work the next day; though I still see this band when their set starts at midnight. Friday after work Thom, Jord, Jesse and I headed out on a small road trip to Niverville! We met up with more peeps [friends/people], the fair had begun, and it was time to party with our good ol' friends from the little town. It's awesome catching up with people you haven't seen in forEVER! Fireworks were excellent and we ended up getting back at 3:30am. I'm saving our funny late night drive-thru story for another entry... stay tuned!
Now Saturday was a beautiful scorcher of a day here in Winnipeg (I am now badly sun burnt, it's unreal). My soccer [football] team was involved in the country's CBC: Soccer day in Canada mini tournament. Overall there were only 4 teams that had the opportunity and if we won our first game we'd be in the final which would be taped for television! It so happened that our first game went to PKs [penalty kicks] and I had the priv [privilege] of kicking first. Oh I defs [definitely] slotted that ball in the bottom left hand corner (I was pretty pumped, but I played it cool). The other team missed two of their shots and we were ecstatic because of our victory. We celebrated at Boston Pizza even though we still had to play the final in just under two hours... bad mistake. We lost in the final sadly, though we had no subs and were dying in the sweltering sun. Whatevs [whatever], we got free t-shirts (I'm Mennonite). Also, let me tell you that Mitch Peacock for CBC (he reports all those Toronto FC games) looks shabby, dishevelled and old in real life (had to mention it).
Saturday night was also our high school's grad class 2 year reunion! Craziness. We just like to party, that's all. Two beautiful clear hot nights in a row is extremely rare in Winnipeg around this time and us Winnipeggers took advantage. After hanging out late into the night as a big class crew, I headed to Josh D's home to catch some zzzzzzzz's before our church picnic. The picnic was stellar as I mostly played volleyball the whole 3 hours (I need to practice before I coach at Prov)! Now, at the moment right after the picnic, I'm bushed (meaning extremely tired, apparently Americans don't know this) and head home for my POWER NAP! However, it was a straight up nap because it was about 45 mins... oh well, I like my sleep. Sunday night was a concert at the the Kingshead pub downtown where the band All the King's Men play every Sunday night. They're phenomenal, and it's just the best thing to enjoy a pint while groovin' to some classic tunes. Too bad I had to work in the morning (this morning). Finally, tonight I went to a spectacular concert performed by the Howling Bells (I loved her Australian accent), Snow Patrol, and Coldplay! Wow, what a show, I was especially amazed at the location of our seats. I didn't even know I was coming until Friday and I end up getting seats seven rows up from the side of the stage; what an experience! They definitely know how to work the crowd and Chris Martin surprisingly knew stuff about Winnipeg as he referenced to the Jets! I can't even describe the amount of pizazz that went into this show. Everything from glow-in-the-dark maple leafs to giant yellow balloons to confetti to hanging spheres which showed live footage of the concert! Coldplay even headed to the back of the arena to perform an acoustic song. Unbelievable. To top it off everyone got a free live Cd. That's over 16000 Cds!
Well as I write this I'm exhausted, and you are probs [probably] exhausted as well if you happened to read the entirety of my longest entry yet. If you have, I applaud you. You win a hug from Manuel.
Tight and Bright
You know what the best thing ever is??! Going places with mass amounts of people in themed costumes that make you stand out. Yes, this Sunday a bunch of us went to see the awesome 3D movie UP! Let me tell you that this movie is quite the roller coaster of emotion. Just as you are laughing your head off the plot turns and gets really deep and personal. I cannot remember another movie where I laughed as hard or teared up as much (yes, I'm a sensitive guy). The 3D was extraordinary too by the way. Unbelievable. It has come a long way since the last one I saw which was Muppets in 3D at Disney WORLD (hmmm in grade 5)! In the Muppet movie things would just randomly pop out and people would ooh and aah but in UP the actual scenes are in 3D which boggled my MIND. I won't spoil this awesome movie for you because I do recommend you go out and sport those snazzy glasses at the theatre!
ANYWAYS, back to the title of this blog... The lot of us ended up wearing very tight and colourful clothing to the polo park cinema. I showed up to the Froese's to get a ride and was shocked to find Daniel in a flashy sweater, head band, and jean cut-offs that bordered his crotch region (Dan must be a nevernude. Arrested Development anyone??). Yes that's right, try not to conjure up a mental image of Daniel Froese in ridiculously short jean cut-offs (I love how I said it again to double the chances of you imagining that). I ended up fitting into clothing that my friends Gaby and Jess brought which happened to include a very snug yellow shirt, a dancer's skin tight colourful halter top, and a very constricting red vest. I was unable to relax my shoulders and muscles throughout the entire movie, it was that bad! It actually felt like the halter top was piercing through my ribcage. Oh well, my TCBY helped me through the pain.
Overall, people must have thought we lost a bet (at least Mr. Geddert and his family thought so... YA, Mr. Geddert witnessed such a thing), but it just so happens we are definitely adventurous.
